Hey Actifitters,
The weather forecast yesterday kept saying it was snowing and it would keep snowing for a few hours. Except that when we started our walk behind the front yard, it was very clear it wasn't snowing at all! And with that very grey and gloomy sky, it's just not the same.
So we didn't stay there for long and just headed to the forest. We met this cute squirrel on the way, but it looked a bit sad. It wasn't moving at all, apparently just fighting the cold as it could. It was also the only squirrel we saw all day, I hope it was fine.
Still not snowing when we made it to the forest.
We went a bit off-trail to leave room for a woman that was walking her dog. Well, to be more accurate, she was flying behind her dog that was pulling on the leash. And on the icy trails, that was funny to see, albeit probably a bit dangerous for her.
And back on the ice!
That long awaited snow finally started, first more like a wintry mix of rain, snow and hail. But later it turned into nice fluffy snow. Kaia was like "What's the hold up, let's move!"
Reluctantly she came back and followed our pace.
Until she as usual led us out of the forest.
By the time we were leaving the forest, the snow started to accumulate a little bit, just enough to cover the black ice patches. Very tricky!
Less than an hour later, the yard looked great with a little over one inch of fresh new snow.
That was pretty much it for the day's activities. Not for the steps though, as a couple of long phone calls helped me get over 25k steps. Pacing during phone calls (or meetings during workdays) can really add up!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
