Hey Actifitters,
As I mentioned the day before, after lots of rain, we had a little bit of snow to cover it all up. It was beautiful yesterday behind the front yard when we started our daily walk.
But it could be quite dangerous too. That entire darker patch below is just pure ice. At least this one is visible because of the different color.
But on the trails, such patches can be below the thin snow layer.
Kaia started with a little bit of climbing fun.
Then we went deeper in the forest where most of the trails are just covered with these ice rivers.
It took a few slides for Kaia to understand. When I saw that face she made, all I could think of was Deadpool saying "Something's wrong, really really wrong"...
But she's smart, after that, she just walked along these rivers.
And on the other side of the forest, it was a little snowier anyways.
It's funny, on the way back home, I was thinking it's been a while since we'd seen deer, and what did we find just as we arrived back home? Of course, deer!
They were in the small forest behind our fence and Kaia made sure they stayed on their side.
In the evening, we had a show to go to. Like I mentioned several times, I prefer opera shows to dance shows. But a few dance shows are part of our subscription to the Detroit Opera House, so of course we go. The one last night was actually good. Something called "Twyla Tharp: 60th anniversary". From what I hear, this Twyla Tharp is a choreagrapher, quite famous in the dance world. Anyways, it was a good time, a night out in Detroit rarely disappoints anyways.
That was my last chance for #poprzeczka competition, I'm out unfortunately. The day was too short and too busy to hope getting anywhere close to the 32k steps I needed. Onto February session now.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
