Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday started with a bad surprise, Kaia was hurting! A very bad limp, still not sure which leg, but I think it's the front right paw.
Even Le Chat seemed concerned: 'What's going on sister?...'
So obviously we didn't go for a walk right away. I was quite busy at work anyways with several loooong phone meetings. At least, that got me some steps, with the pacing I like to do while on the phone. And a few more at my standing desk set up. Later in the afternoon, we finally went in the yard because I didn't want to completely miss this beautiful cold sunny weather we had all day.
The light on the small forest behind the fence was beautiful.
Even with her limping, Kaia made sure to check the perimeter of course. She takes her guard dog role very seriously.
The Moon was out there already. Sometimes I think it looks even better in the blue sky instead of the night sky.
Kaia couldn't resist, she scared off some deer hanging out behind the fence. She seemed to hurt even more when she came back.
So we just took it easy with a few espressos on the deck while the sun started to set.
Much later at night, we tried a short walk as it seemed a little easier for Kaia to walk. We didn't go to the forest though, just the small one behind the front yard.
Kaia struggled but she enjoyed it.

Kind of a strange day activity wise. Even though we didn't go for our usual long walk, I racked up more steps than the previous days. Most of them while on the phone! Probably not as efficient for cardio though, but for sure better than just sitting at my desk.
Let's see if Kaia gets better before we can resume our walks, or maybe we'll need a visit to the vet.
