Hey Actifitters,
Once again, our main activity yesterday was a long walk to the forest with Kaia. Before we even got there, we met plenty of wildlife. An entire deer family first hanging out in that front yard.
And the squirrels! They were all over the yards along the way. Some observing the deer or Kaia.
In the forest, I was disappointed to see most of the snow melted, at least on the entrance side.
That didn't stop Kaia from running everywhere of course.
The days have been mostly grey recently, so it was nice to see a little bit of sun, albeit from behind a thin mist veil.
Kaia ran a bit off-trail chasing deer, and she found more snow.
But she quickly brought us back on the trail, and inspected a few teepees she found.
One last view of the sun through the trees, and it was time to walk back home, because we had plan for the evening.
We did see many more squirrels on the way back, including that silver one who was trying to hide first, but was just too curious to check what this big furry thing Kaia is.
Later in the afternoon, I was late as usual, but I just couldn't leave without admiring the beautiful sunset colors. Pink and orange hues were just all over the sky.
We finally made it to Detroit Opera House for a show called Complexions, a contemporary ballet.
Like I said several times, dance shows are not my favorites, it just comes with the opera subscription. But this one was okay. The first act included classical music played by the usual Detroit Opera Orchestra, including Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Ave Maria and Ravel's Bolero. But the second act was quite different with U2 music. Anyways, not bad and original I guess.
All in all, not a bad day at all, and above 20k steps as a bonus.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
