Hey Actifitters,
Even if it was a Saturday, yesterday wasn't so different from our routine, especially with the great weather in the afternoon. Lots of backyard time!
These two are almost inseparable now! I don't remember it exactly this way when Genepi was still around.
One difference with our weekday routine is that we started our daily walk much earlier.
Le Chat joined us behind the front yard, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to go any further.
Pretty quickly, we left her there to go to the forest.
As soon as we got there and I took her leash off, Kaia went on the hunt for critters of course.
Like I mentioned several times, in spite of all the leaves on the ground, probably from previous years, it's still mostly green in our forest.
We walked a bit everywhere until Kaia led us out.
Just as we exited the forest, we met two squirrels. The first one wanted to check what Kaia was, while the second one just stayed safely perched way up there.
A couple blocks from home, we were greeted by Le Chat, and she finished the walk with us. I know I showed this a few times already, but I just find it funny.
It was too much effort for Le Chat though, and she quickly went back to sleep.
Later in the afternoon, the yard was invaded by hundreds of birds. It's been happening more often than usual the past few weeks. Not sure the reason.
Kaia thought it'd be fun to scare them off!
Le Chat on the other hand thought it'd be more prudent to hide in the weeds, until Kaia was done clearing the yard.
The weather completely changed after that. It got grey and dark very quickly. The forecast said I still had several hours before it started raining. So I went on a run. Of course, less than 15 minutes in, it started raining! So, I didn't run as much as I had planned, but still went for about 5 miles. And that was it for the day's activities.
