Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday afternoon (I've been told Sunday do have mornings, but I wouldn't know for sure...), the weather turned out very sunny, which means chill time on the deck!
Le Chat was soaking up the sun.
While Kaia was monitoring the yard, as the guard dog she pretends to be.
And suddenly she came back to get me, clearly indicating something was going on.
And indeed two deer were munching on the grass and leaves in our front yard.
Shortly after that I decided to go for a run. It was either that or mowing the lawn. The choice was easy! When I came back, it was close to sunset time. I hesitated but finally decided to go for a walk with Kaia. Yes she's injured but I figured she needed it and we went slower than usual. She did okay actually, even though she was clearly tired afterwards. And for me, it was a good way to cool down after my run and dry up before getting in the shower. In any case, the colors at the end of the road were too tempting to pass on.
It started to fade as we got closer though.
It disappeared very quickly.
On the way back, we saw more deer. It's the best photo I could get. Keep in mind it was fully dark at the time, and only the magic of photography makes them visible.
We slowly finished our walk, and Kaia could rest. Even if she was limping a bit more, I think this walk was good for her. We kept it short and slow, the vet said it may be okay, at least before the surgery.
And that was already the end of the week end! Let's see what next week brings us!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
