We played a snowy round of disc golf today. I won with the scores at +2, +4, and +6. Technically, I had a lost disc on one of the holes and had to throw off the tee again, so the scores should have been, +4, +4 and +6. My friends let me ignore the lost disc penalty.
I eventually found the lost disc, but the three of us spent a lot of time looking for it. It was a brand new disc that I threw for the first time, and I had not put my name on it yet. I purchased a couple of D4 Air Spectrum discs, hoping to replace the one that I had lost. Unfortunately, both of the new discs are really flippy and are not as stable as the disc that I lost. I also don't like the colors that much. I ordered them sight unseen. I'm thinking that since I have not marked the disc yet, I might be able to trade it for another disc I like better.
Throwing a disc golf round in the snow can be difficult, but we did have fun. It was not all that cold, and the snow began to melt part way through the round.
On the disc golf course today, my lost disc under the snow:
We practically stepped right on it but did not see it.
