Well, the tournament did not go as I would have liked. My son did well and won some scrip, but I did not. I'm happy for my son in any case.
The tee pads were very frosty, and I had a tough time with the icy conditions. My son slipped and hurt his ankle a bit, but he seems fine now. I have almost flipped upside down when my plant foot slides on a forehand throw, so I was a bit worried about the conditions. When you are older, it is more difficult to recover from a fall.
This was also not my favorite course, and it was hard for me to score well on. When I took a double bogey on hole one, I kind of gave up. I know I was still in the game at that point, but my mental game is a bit of a work in progress.

Thank you for this inspiration. You make me think of the good old days when I use to do cross-country race with my son, and he will give me quite a long distance to reach at the finish line. And I, arriving some minutes later, would find him encouraging me to reach the finish line in good time. It used to be so amazing!
