I need to get the car serviced, so I walked over to the disc golf course while they were doing that. I just had three discs with me, a couple of D4 discs, and a Berg. I wanted to see if my new D4 Air Spectrum Air disc was going to be stable enough.
I was very happy with my new disc. It is a few grams lighter but seems to be stable enough for the types of throws I use a D4 for. For now, it has bumped the other D4 Air out of the bag. These lighter discs can be lost easily, so it will be nice to have a spare.
Later, in the afternoon, my friend wanted to play a round of disc golf, so I joined him. I kind of rushed out of the house and didn't take my rainjacket, which was drying out from the last rainy round. This proved to be a mistake because it started to rain hard about part way through the round.
We tried to keep playing, but the rain would not let up, so we finished a partial round and headed out. My friend was winning with the scores at: +3 to +5 when we called it.
I was a bit miserable without my rainjacket and was trying to make some approach throws while holding my umbrella. For future referance, trying to throw with acuracy while holding an umbrella is not a thing I do well. I might want to invest in an umbrella holder for my cart - it might come in handy around here.
