My Actifit Report Card: October 22 2024

I was heading towards a really nice round of disc golf this morning until I took a snowman on one of the last holes. (A snowman is a score of eight on a par three.) It goes to show me that every time I get on the tee, I need to concentrate.

It was just a bit windy but not enough to worry too much about. I was not feeling that confident in my Tern holding the line and not turning too far to the right. (I've lost Tern discs on this hole before.) I underpowered the throw, and the disc hyzered out into the bramble bushes on the left.

We couldn't find the disc, so I threw off the tee again, this time using a Mamba disc. I figured I would avoid my first mistake, but I was really worried about missing too far to the right with this disc. Sure enough, the disc came out too low on a cut roll angle. It went into the bramble bushes on the right, and we could not find it.

I threw off the tee again and this time got my Wave disc in a resonable spot, but I was so frustrated that I missed the approach and left myself too far away to make the putt.

The nice thing was that after the round was over, I went back to hole and found both of the discs that we could not find initially. The first one was up on edge and hard to see, but it was in a place that I might have made par from if we had found it.

All in all, it was still a wonderful morning to be out on the disc golf course. The weather was nice for this time of year.

It was a gorgeous day on the disc golf course:
