Daughter killed by father before departure

The henna in Sonia's hands had not even dried when the color of her life turned into blood. There was a blush of happiness on the laughing, smiling face, but in a moment, the same face was robbed of wounds. Sonia had dreams in her eyes, but those dreams were not pleasing to anyone.

The father...whose shadow is a symbol of protection for the daughter, today the same shadow came upon him as death. The hand that held his finger and taught him to walk, today is the same hand that made him fall forever. Sonia glanced at her killer, perhaps hoping that the father would stop for a moment, think, but no... there was jealousy in his eyes, which turned out to be stronger than love.
There was laughter in the gathering, there was fragrance, there were greetings, but suddenly screams rang out, blood began to flow on the ground, and a final sigh escaped Sonia's lips. Today again, a daughter's life was taken away in the name of "honour".
Was it honor? Or the ignorance that has been going on for centuries, which considers the daughter not a human being, but a burden? What was Sonia's fault? That he wanted to decide his own life? Or that she was a woman, who did not have the right to her own will?

I wish! This father understood that honor is in character, not in murder. I wish! He thought for a moment that he was taking the life of no one else but his own daughter. But no, that moment did not come... and thus Sonia's name was also included among the thousands of daughters, whose breaths were sacrificed to cruel traditions.

It's not murder, it's a question of society. A question that may never be answered!
