Today, a team from the Ministry of Health, Muscat, visited our clinic. This type of inspection is quite common here. But, coming from Muscat is a rare incident. As a result of the inspection, the regular work was hampered somewhat.
My name is registered as the visa medical doctor who can sign the fitness certificate. But, in reality, all doctors are signing the certificates. No problem with that. However, as the team came, I was told to stay in the visa medical section chamber only. Already a good number of patients were registered for consultation. I could no longer consult them until the inspection team left. Another GP tried to give support. But, the queue became greatly prolonged.
One of the team members came to my chamber and observed how I was examining the person who came for the fitness test. It was weird somewhat! The team stayed for a little over one hour. Then the normalcy returned!
In the evening session, there was no disturbance. Today, I consulted over 30 patients in my chamber. In the visa medical section, over 50 people came for the tests.
After 9 pm, we went to a shopping center to purchase a gift item. One of the clinic staff invited all of us to her home. Tomorrow we will go there In Sha Allah. Then, we made a quick trip to the park. My son and I walked and ran. My son won the race! I am indeed becoming heavy day by day! Here are some photos from the park.
