My friend sent me this picture this evening. He went out today. He's been depressed over the weekend and could hardly sleep. His girlfriend's mum called him and asked him to come over so they talk. He's known the family for awhile now, long before he and the girl started dating. The mother just wanted to set some things straight. He and the girl have not officially communicated to both families that they are dating.
So when he went over, the girl wasn't around. He's been there a couple of times just to see her mother and father without the girl so it's nothing new. They got talking and the mother asked my friend if he was dating her daughter for which he replied in the affirmative. She asked why he hadn't told her. He told her that he'd wanted to for awhile now but the girl wanted to keep things on the low for now.
The girl's mother proceeded to advise my friend to be careful with her. She spoke of how the girl has been spending nights with him and if anything happens as in pregnancy, she wouldn't let her abort it. It was then that my friend got the shock of his life.
His girlfriend has never spent the night at his end. No matter how late it is, she always goes home. Even the few times she's been there, she never stays for long always saying her mum will complain if she doesn't get home early.
My friend asked her mum if she remembers the dates when her daughter came to sleep at her end. She gave him the dates and he showed her chats between him and the girl where the girl told her she's been sent by her mother to an aunt and the network there is terrible so he might not hear from her for a couple of hours or days.
It's at the moment my friend knew his girlfriend has been sleeping somewhere else while telling her parents she's with my friend. She knows they trust him so they will allow it. If something should have happened, he would have been the first suspect and yet he knew nothing about it.
He's now devastated and feeling really terrible. He still wants the girl and finding it difficult to break up with her. I hope the outing today has cleared up his head and now he can take a bold decision and let her go. I can only hope he doesn't father someone's baby as his.
For me, my day has been quiet. I went for a walk today because I couldn't bear getting less than 5k steps like yesterday. At least, I got above 10k. Wishing you all a great week ahead.
