Daily Diary - October 3 2024

I got these eggs recently in my area. I went with a friend and she asked for some so I gave her 5. I forgot all about it and when I got home and realized it was 25 instead of 30, I was pissed. I dressed up contemplating sending the eggs back to the shop and to demand for the missing 5.

I decided to take a pic of them instead and take it along to show the shop owner that she gave me less eggs than I paid for. There's a chance she wouldn't believe me if I came with only the pictures but then, there's also a chance that she won't believe me even if I come with the whole crate. She can assume I removed the 5 eggs down and just came to accuse her of something she knew nothing about.

I was about to leave when it crossed my mind that, my friend who showed me the place must accompany me back to the shop for my eggs. I called my friend on phone and just when the dial tone sounded, I remembered that I gave my friend 5. I was really embarrassed and wondered how I would explain all this to my friend.

If I told her I had forgotten that I gave her 5 eggs, she might interpret it as, it wasn't from my heart that's why I don't remember. I thought of something to say fast before she picks up. When she finally answered the phone, I told her I just wanted to let her know that I'm back home and also to thank her for taking me to the shop. Their things are a bit on the low side.

She said she was happy to help. I'm happy I didn't embarrass myself by acting like the shop had stolen 5 eggs from me. Someday, I will tell her but not now. All's well here and I thank God for life.
