I had decided to forego ladies Bible study as I had today off before resuming the work grind tomorrow. I knew I’d get some study in anyway because of things that I needed to do. I needed also to run the coffee to the post office, pick up the clinic mail while there and then, we decided to give one last try to our Starbucks in Lynden. I was hoping our bad experience the other day was perhaps just an anomaly.
We set off to Starbucks after the post office. Upon arriving, at first, I did not see the same gal who took our order the last time. As luck would have it though, she came out and took my order. I then realized that she would not be making the drinks, so I was hopeful. I ordered them as ‘extra hot’ and crossed my fingers. The barista who was making them said to me that you like your drinks around 190-right? I grinned and said yes please!
A much better experience this time. 😎👍☕️
Upon returning home, the outside temperature had climbed to 50 degrees! Downright balmy! We headed out for a hike. Ironically about 10-15 minutes into it, it began to rain a ‘peppery’ rain. ☔️ We trudged on. The clouds really weren’t much of anything so it was odd that it was raining.
We got up to the pond which was as far as I intended as I had other things still to do, and I caught a few nice photos along the way. Take a look. 👀
The snowdrops are just beginning to bloom.
As we came off the trailhead, a beautiful rainbow appeared! This picture is the full thing, but as you saw in the first picture of the post, the color intensity was amazing!
Close by are Adam’s bees. Despite being all wrapped up for the winter, they are slowly awakening.
It was an interesting hike!
Of course, no post of mine is complete without a ‘shroom or two!
