The needle dragonfly is an insect that belongs to the order Odonata, suborder Zygoptera. The needle dragonfly has unique characteristics that make it easy to distinguish from other types of dragonflies, namely a slender body shape like needles and the position of the wings upright at rest. Needle dragonflies are often found around ponds, swamps, forests, and rice fields.
