Continuing our series of spooky legends and creatures, we arrive at the gruesome doorstep of the zombie.
Zombies are said to be corpses that have been reanimated in some form and exist to devour flesh or other unhuman cause. Zombie beliefs are thought have originated in Haiti during the 17th century.
It is thought to have stemmed from the forced slave labour and desire to be free. The zombie has been linked to acts of Voodoo or witchcraft.
modern telling of zombies have taken a more medical term with viruses 'turning' people.
