About Radix (XRD)

Radix (XRD) is a layer-1 blockchain protocol designed specifically for decentralized finance (DeFi). It promises to be the "DeFi layer 1 done right" by avoiding the exploit and hack risks associated with other DeFi chains without sacrificing scalability.

Radix uses a new consensus mechanism called Cerberus, which is designed to provide the performance needed to achieve its ambitious goal of creating a new decentralized global financial system. Radix also has its own version of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) called the Radix Engine, which allows developers to build on Radix using familiar Ethereum tools.

XRD is the native token of the Radix network. It is used to secure the network through staking and to pay transaction fees. All transaction fees on Radix are burned, which helps to reduce the supply of XRD and increase its value.

Radix is still under development, but it has already attracted a significant amount of interest from the DeFi community. It is seen as a potential solution to many of the problems that plague existing DeFi chains, such as scalability, security, and usability.

Here are some of the key features of Radix:

  • Scalable: Radix is designed to be able to handle millions of transactions per second without sacrificing security.
  • Secure: Radix uses a number of innovative security features to prevent exploits and hacks.
  • Usable: Radix is designed to be easy to use for both developers and users.

Radix is a promising new project in the DeFi space. It has the potential to revolutionize the way that financial services are delivered.
