Working with freedom

In a company when we work, we come across all different types of people. Every employee of the company while they are working has their own personal style which reflects in their work place. Just for e.g. my hubby he is one that type of a person, who thinks that my putting pressure work gets done quickly. This is his personal behavior at home as well. If he has some work to get done, he would keep saying it again and again, because he feels that by doing that the work will happen faster and he applies the same behavior at his work place also.

Whereas I am a totally opposite person, I believe that assign a work give a timeline and then wait for the completed work, I would do a random check in between, but I would not be there all the time.

I believe that if too much pressure is put then the opposite person may lose motivation to perform. Personally I would also not like anyone continuously sitting on my head and monitoring my work and telling me how it has to be done. I would like to do my work in my space and without any pressure. If there is a situation like that then possibly I will mess up the work.

In one of the HR newsletter that I receive I read this story that 2 employees who were continuously pressurized by their boss for work were so frustrated with him that they hired some goons to beat him up. I told my hubby about this incident and laughed at him saying that someday he might also get beaten up by some of his team members.....hahaha.

I feel that when you interfere too much you are not even giving respect to that person's knowledge and capabilities so it is obvious that at some point of time the person may feel frustrated and can take actions which may not be very good.
