STOP VOTING INTRO POSTS TOO MUCH! Here is why

in witness •  3 years ago

Sit down folks this is going to take a while to explain. But with the punchline I will start.

Overpaid intro posts is attracting fakes to this platform and are taking advantage of using that to milk the rewards from the pool.

Sending these accounts to COAL is not enough. So this is a call of action to hold every voter responsible.

No, I do not mean punish the voters, but I would like to see an increase of voters digging a little deeper before voting new users.

Many new user accounts are putting up intro posts to get a substantial reward and then they power down, create new accounts, send the liquid blurt to other alts and then repeat and harvest rewards from each account.

All one has to do is check their wallet history and you will start to see a pattern very easily actually.

Lets start with one and work our way through.

Lets start with an older account that is in connection with others doing the exact same pattern. Post intro, reap rewarss, powedown, open new accounts, send minimum blurt for new accounts to make fake intro posts.

It's easy money for the swindler because not many are reading the signs on the wall. So I do not expect this thieving trend to slow down soon.

Meet ukopaul

That was the first and last post of this account since last year. If you check out their account wallet history you will find that they have powered down immediately, then also from recieving and transfers of blurt from other accounts are shown. But notice how much is coming and going and from which accounts.

You check every single one and you will find 1 intro post, powerdown and a bunch of transfers that is actually the same player(s) running this scam.

Most of these accounts come from the preefork era, and were blacklisted for the same shit on steemit.

And although they are old accounts, that doesnt mean they are not still doing it today!

victoruban is the origin of ukopaul.

Victor has the same profile of patterns. 1 intro post, powerdown, a clutter of BLURT liquid tranfers to and from other accounts doing the same thing.

We have our dear honest blurtians to thank for that. Setting the bar so low on introductory posts is akin to throwing ourselves under the wheels of the bus.

However I feel you are still not convinced this is a real issue.

Lets start with a recent one then. One that just got published today.

Where do I start with finding out if I have a fake accounts posing as other people for scamming users?

At the #introduceyourself tag is a great start.

Wow that didnt take long. I didnt even use the tag. Was under all content and HOT results, first one using the introduceyourself tag that I saw.

Everyone. Meet jennyduke. I am not going to tag this account because i have a strong hunch that this user is going to powerdown and transfer to another account later on and do it all over again.

Just play along for now ok?

Watch it unfold on its own.

About this account

Naturally I was curious to see who was helping this "new" user. That was when I discovered a whole real operation of identity theft at play.

You will see some new usernames and I will list them below without tagging them.

However due to the amount of pictures allowed I can't show it all in one post.

You each will need to look into it. Look at each account and how they connect. Look at their profiles. Mostly all have one intro post and nothing else and then powerdowns and transfers from other accounts doing the same thing.

It can be harder to detect when their is no history of correlation with other alt acounts until the deed is done and patterns show. This anonymous character is milking the system with stolen identities.

What a coincidence that jennyduke, orokben both started an intro post on the same day.

I don't believe in coincidences by the way.

username: emmanokon from the picture above, last year made one intro post and nothing else. Powered down right away and made a transfer of everything else that was transferred to this account, to non other than starryking who is currently have been active on blurt for quite some time now.

Screenshot_20220527-201958_Brave.jpg

Starryking has been active not only blogging and commenting, reblogging voting etc. But has been so helpful in transfering blurt to specifically only accounts that power down immediately after their intro and to remain idle.

Sharon for example is one these lucky bunch. Created by victorpeter then followed by starryking lovely donation of 5 blurt.

Currently powering down. Wonder where that will go to. Starryking? Time will tell.

But its the many other accounts you will come to find that were made last year. One intro post, powerdown and transfers.

Finding the exit point is going to a bit of all theae accounts might prove a little worthwhile. So I wanted to share these accounts for you to look into yourself.

Now lets look at what is precious here

Screenshot_20220527-210932_Brave.jpg

When you get into looking at preciosita closely, you will see her funding victor, funding accounts that make intros then bail after rewards.

Each one theae accounts follow the same whales and witnesses here instantly too such as this one

The key in this is by remembering the past history of the preforked accounts tied to the first account i mentioned.

Just upvoted and welcomed a new account... 😂😂😂
I see where this is leading to though!
Thanks for the insights mate!👍🍀

Thanks for sharing this information. I'm trying to help prevent the same things that have happened elsewhere here on Blurt. We need to be more aware of these things in order for that to happen. Thanks again.

Thank you sir. Indeed we all need to be more cautious how we distribute our stake, aswell as keep awareness up at a fair level.

If you don't vote for new people they won't stay.

I completely agree with that.

What about the same person doing the same thing like mentioned above? I think that person will most definitely stay.

I am trying to say is the saying "less is more."

Letting the new user show us what they got to give before rewarding more heavily. Not an idea I am forcing on anyone either. Just an observer pointing out the leaks in the bucket of the manner in which we welcome so called new users. I only call attention to being more skeptical about what we vote on.

Maybe the person has a multiple personality disorder. Or maybe they identify as a ukopaul one day, and a jennyduke the next. We can't know this, we aren't biologists, so How Dare You assume anothers personality.

Just kidding. Nice work :)

I have yet to run into someone debating about what pronouns to use. Must be a usa thing. Youtube is filled with these things though, mostly they are getting ridiculed on with truth and logic. Why are teachers in school purposely forcing others to use the wrong pronouns?

We don't ask baby chickens what they identify with when they are born. We just look at their asshole. Ok bad example. Maybe not many know that baby chickens have a distinct difference in their asshole when identifying their sex to be male, female, trans, and all the other 58374739 different mental disorders sexes...

Anyways,... yea about every single account associated with these in the transfers is the same person with his multiple split personality disorder lol.
