I like @offgridlife's answer and @foryoubtc
I'm not going to pick a yes or no to basically telling people that have done a shitty job or not. That's just not my style. We all know there have been problems, and like @offgirdlife says, like I already have I would pointed as well.... poor communication has been at the heart of many problems. Something I'm hoping we can all improve on, and some even lead by example.
People just aren't logging in here anymore! The earnings are crap because the Blurt price is falling and falling! I mean, let us be honest: Which good blogger in their right mind comes here to write a 1000 word high effort post for 50 cents?
Yes, we are now back near square one before the big move in price before you and I even arrived. All I can say is that it's not a bloggers market like it was at 1-3 cents, but instead very much an investors market.
Won't take much money for a new whale to come on the scene and buy up a million blurt or more at these prices. I think the best strategy we can do know, is make this place as functional and inviting as possible, make deals with influencers on other platforms to use and promote blurt, and try to get new venture capitalist willing to work with us to make this place rise to it's potential.
cool to see you doing polls too! But mine are the best! lol hahahaha
Hope you are having a good day brother. Don't let this shit eat you up! I've already made peace with my investment! lol I'll catch you later bro.
Some of those who have no bank and not welcome on Hive found themselves on Blurt. Like myself... because it was said to be a free speech haven... now my savings have been reduced from six figures to under $2000. It is heartbreaking to put 10 years of FULL TIME work (yes, 40+ hours a week) into this effort, only to have someone come along and drop a couple grand here, and have more BLURT than I do. This is not only my life savings, but also the result of my life's work, putting my best years into it. My activism was seen and appreciated by tens of thousands, and saved lives, now reduced to 15 or 20 views on some unknown blog. This is bad for me, and bad for the world. I was a potent force for good. Now I'm impotent and deactivated. You're right, it's an investor's market, they can turn me into a minnow here with just one small purchase from fiat. "Just ride out the bear market" is usually okay advice, but only if there is going to be a recovery afterward, and I'm not so certain about that anymore. It's true that it is too late to cash out and buy back in at a cheaper price. I don't even have enough to make that worthwhile anymore. I basically have some crumbs in a penny stock that seems to be going to zero. All I can do is hope for a recovery the likes we have never before seen in any crypto - a 500x move. I need Musk to buy Blurt for his next project.
Barring that, I think we need to please and support content-creators as well as investors. Without content, investors have nothing to upvote, and no way to profit. This is a partnership and each person involved must play their part(s) properly. Good content is viewed and shared, benefiting the content-creator and the platform. Good content is also curated, profiting both the creator and the curator. The curator invests in BLURT to increase his profits. That pushes the price up. A higher BLURT price draws in content-creators. And so on! This increase in price, and improvement in content, leads to higher morale, and more activity... therefore more good content and more curation. Each part of that "machine" needs to be strong otherwise we have a bottleneck in our strategy here. Trying to support just one section of the machine probably won't be effective.
Bitcoin goes back to 60k. Blurt is again around .015 at this satoshi trading level.
6 months from now, we could all be singing a different toon. The past week or so on blurt has reminded me of the howlings of a market bottom if you catch my drift. I think better days are ahead, and Im not just saying that.
But I hear you loud and clear, you ve made some good points....you always make good points.
I catch your drift, and I'm crossing fingers and toes!
I see BTC is falling below the 20k level today, and PMs are down again, but hopefully this is just noise. The big moves (up) are coming.
And now two days later......cryptos and PMs are having a one of their best days in a long while.
Woooooohooo! All we needed was the USD to take a day off from shooting upward.... haha. Gold above 2500 is when it gets spicy :D
The founder/core dev team don't interest themselves for such things... They do anything to bring more and more quarrels onto Blurt with censorship and result manipulation... God knows why...
libtardation is a real thing... just like Trump derangement Syndrom
I think the main problem is that teh Blockchain is a great first layer but EVERYONE insists on Rushing IT out as "Social Networking" and that you're "PAID"... Then all innovation is out of the equation and everyone is just Whoring for attention from a few.
The Devs are doing a MUCH better Job than SteemIt ever did by at least talking on the blockchain quite a bit... that fact alone is a big deal to me.
🥓
Ok, so your answer is yes to the poll?
Why you gotta corner me 😐 ?

Why isn't windows following me? 😂
millions of blurts were printed and not burned. This stake is now still under the control of those who consciously printed them for 2 years and is still used to multiply the blinds and to vote for such wittneses as mega or tekaze, which, after what has emerged, hardly anyone wants in the positions they occupy.
The same guys also had fun destroying the rest of the blurt's image as a platform with freedom of speech, without downvote, which was the main magnet for people and main advantage of blurt over hive.
basically, I even wonder if the blurt project was not created from the beginning in consultation with the hive team in order to get rid of the opposition from hive. because it turned out that megadrive happily gets along with hivewathers. and after they ran a big scam here, they baked two pecs with one stone and brought most of the people from alternative milieus here to hive in order to fuck us after two years.
So ... where do you see the communication error here? The only communication error is that all blurt users do not understand this porblem and did not do it or they did not say bye-bye.
@outofthematrix
my answer is NO
and yes you have my vote.
Trust me after buying in at 3 cents and losing 90%, after all the promo work and so on I've done, and bringing many people over....there was a time (not long ago) were I was beyond upset at the exact things you point out. I even suspected the link between hive and blurt, again as you pointed out. However, after some communication with the top people here and since becoming a witness. Seems like there is too much work and effort going on behind the scene for me to assume that is probable. I think the problems on the platform have stemmed from having people take on roles that they shouldn't. I wouldn't want a chef to take control of a Boeing 747 and expect good results....just like some these guys on blurt are excellent developers but really poor when it comes to people, management, and business. If my assumption is correct.....and it may or may not be; then this ship called Blurt is very much salvageable.
I appreciate your support for witness. I believe at this point there is going to be a period of the weak hands getting out at silly low prices, while a better crop of stakeholders come in with long term plans to grow the platform.
you can be a poor developer in terms of management and buisness but with good intentions, which are manifested in good and most needed development projects.
What else can you call developing buttons like mute and wasting time resources on censorship on a portal whose marketing is based on freedom of speech, if not bad will? And that's all when such basic functions as creating user accounts do not work?
They're not idiots, after all. To master programming, you need to have a fairly large IQ. And if someone has such an IQ, he can probably associate a simple marketing fact that such visible hypocrisy is the first step to failure.
I also, on some level, still hope that Blurt will be saved. If this happens, it will prove that, despite everything, the community is able to do something on graphene blockchains. But for me, the only chance for this to succeed is to remove the existing witness and developers and replace them with new ones.
I hear you loud and clear. There have been plenty of blunders....and that is why I started a witness, @outofthematrix too, and there are more coming online. So I'm all for competition and if the witness list looks a lot different in a years time, than it will most likely be for the best....again through competition, new whales coming on line to vote for witness too, and so on.
Yes, I too believe the mute button and focus on that was unnecessary. Not trying to make excuses, but it was pretty clear to me, that focus from important things got derailed with all the nasty back and forth drama, and that really is no excuse, but I do believe that's an accurate statement.
However, this may not be a popular opinion with some, but personally I have no problem with the mute button as the use of it is left in the hands of the individual account holder (and the use of it foolishly makes them blind to others).
That being said, If someone were to come onto my photography posts, and 100% of the time they tell me that my posts sucks, my photography sucks, and I suck for everyone to see on my blog, including family and friends....frankly I'd be happy that I can have that be invisible if I choose on one of the three main front ends. I can see how for many it could totally ruin their experience here driving them and their money away.
While at the same time, this person is still free to post on their blog about how much I suck and it can still get to trending under the right circumstances (algo) on each front end.
I've spoken to many people who have the same general frustrations that you and I certainly both have. However there seems to be a lot of people who actually think like I just described in regards to the mute button. Very few to my understanding think of it as a true censorship issue, especially when compared to a down-vote button, or facebook jail, or twitter ban...
Having been an investor for almost 20 years, this is certainly the most "start up" thing I've ever been involved in. But I'm a pretty good judge of market sentiment, and I'm feeling a violet puke bottom is just around the corner. I mean with the price where it is, everything sucks...with a big WTF next to it. Often marks a bottom....but this is a different animal so fingers crossed!
Just a friendly note... You've been supporting me and my blog for a long time and it has not gone unnoticed. Class act is what you are and I really appreciate the support and cordial exchange of ideas! Not everyone here can converse on your level of respect and clearity and that is of great value in it's own right!
Thanks my BFAM! 🙏🍀 Without you, I would not be here! 👍😜 I will be doing a poll result post... Your comment will be included! 🏆
On Bastyon I have 86 blocked accounts - but that platform is pumping, and I need to block all sorts of dickheads
we'll see how it will be.
you run a really good blog, so there's nothing to thank for;)
Thanks for that insight! This is also my impression of the whole thing. Something definitely is phishy... Watch out for my post about the results of this poll. I will definitely link some of the comments... Yours will be one of them! 👍
Yes my BFAM 😂 your polls are the best👍😜
So, what do you think about communities like the hive?
I don t see how adding that can hurt. I was never that into communities back on hive ir steemit. I established a good network from 5 years back and expanded on that, with never paying much attention to communities. But it seems like they are good and people like them. Is there any downside to having communities on blurt that maybe I should be aware of? Cause at the moment I dont know any.
The DACH community (German Community) was one of my most important groups...
