Witness Introduction Post: hello world

Hello Blurt Community,

My name is Jake and I’ve been a part of the old Steem Korean community since June, 2017. I originally got into STEEM because I believed in the potential for connecting online social interactions with tangible crypto rewards. I was so entranced by the idea that I quit my job back in 2017 from Samsung and founded a company to specifically build a payment gateway for Steem. Long story short I ended up making great relationships with the community members of Steem, but failed to make a commercially successful product. However, I was able to leverage my prior experience to join a great team within the Blockchain industry and now working on on-chain and off-chain data analytics.

But, enough about my past.

I’m posting this post to formally introduce myself as a hardcore believer and supporter of the Blurt community. I am running as a Blurt Witness because I truly believe that the essence of being a true decentralized social network supporter has been lost during the recent events that took place in 2020 for the Steem community. I believe in the cause and vision of Blurt as an avid supporter for decentralized services. I am glad that I can do my part by running as a witness and actively participate in the growth of Blurt.

Blurt Witness

I’m running a VPS located in Tokyo. I am on standby most of the day to make sure my node is running properly and not missing any blocks. I work within the industry so I make sure I stay on top of the industry trend and communicate with other witness members to improve Blurt. I enjoy running the node because I know that I’m contributing to the growth of the Blurt community.

Really glad to be a part of this journey and looking forward to building lasting relationships on Blurt. 😊
