How to Renew Delegation Before Expiry

SP Lease and Early Renewal Policy

Currently, the SP Lease system does not support early renewals of SP delegations before the existing ones expire. However, I often receive inquiries about this feature.

Implementing delegation renewals with varying APRs and fees involves numerous complexities, which makes it challenging to develop. For now, here’s what you can do:

  1. Timing: Wait until 1–2 days before your current delegation expires.
  2. Payment: Send another renewal payment to initiate a new delegation.
  3. Expiration: Your current delegation will automatically expire as scheduled.
  4. Assistance: Contact me to confirm everything is in order. If needed, I’ll manually extend your new delegation by 1–2 days to ensure a smooth transition.

Please note: This process depends on the availability of SP for delegation at the time of your renewal payment.
