The state of being Broke

Being broke is a state, not a condition. Many think when you have a sustainable job there isn’t a way you will one day go broke. There is a difference between you not having money and being broke. Brokenness comes in when you are not able to know the difference between the life you want for yourself now and the future self you wish to see in years to come.

We come from homes whereby guys are termed as the landlords and should work to feed the family. This is a great motivation for some of them but a heart killer for others. Until we realized we are all equal when it comes to making money, many will die of depression. Some women relax in getting themselves promised future. They claim it’s their husband's job. What do you intend to live on before that man finds you? Think about that and that’s when you realize your future isn’t your husband. Build yours so that when you meet him one day, you will then have a great planned future together.

Setting our limits when it comes to our salary is important. Being broke isn’t an option we should take. From when we start working till it’s a month, we should know that amount we will be spending on any other thing and the last part should be the one going into saving. I was once told that “Being financially free doesn’t mean you have a great paying job, but it’s when you can manage yourself within a month when your source of salary breaks down.” I learned a lot from it.

Hustler should be proud. No matter how hard you think your life is, be proud of it. Not everyone was born with a silver spoon. Just keep pushing and always remember to be honest. Honesty goes a long way in building a successful human. Until you know it's normal for someone to know where you come from and it isn’t a disgrace, you never learn to live within your means. And when you don’t, you will live a force life which will be the start of a cripple future.
