I believe that Walking and Yoga are two best ways to maintain a good health in many ways. Just not physically but mentally and emotionally also. A daily half an hour walk will not stress us out but it will rejuvenate us. I have my evening routine daily of half an hour walk. Some days I feel lazy and if I do not then I feel all the more lethargic, but if I push myself and take my walk, I feel energized. That is the magic of walking. Not only walking but any form of exercise. Personally, I have never preferred very hard exercise forms like weights and all.
I enjoy my evening walks and morning Yoga routines. It helps me stay flexible and active. Walking I feel has many benefits, one of them especially is that whenever I am walking, I get many creative ideas. Sometimes if I am not sure what I want to write about and then suddenly during my walk's topics will flash in my mind as to what I should write on. So walking is definitely a very good boost for mental health.
When our body had a free movement without any restrictions it performs at its best and this research also says that freedom to make self-determined movements are responsible for positive effects on creative thinking. Walking is also very good for our heart health and improving the cardiovascular fitness. When my hubby was unwell and in hospital for a long time, he had lost all his body strength and the Doctors would also insist him to take walks even if they were slow and with support. They would tell me the more he walks his condition will improve fast and that was the fact. I would push him to walk daily 3 to 4 rounds just in our room and he would feel better after every walk, his lungs condition and breathing would also get better.
We underestimate some very simple things of life that we can follow for good health. We do not need fancy gyms and heavy weights and cardio for good health. Just a daily simple walk routine will help maintain good health. I also enjoy walking barefoot on grass for grounding purpose.
The days I do not take my walk I feel like I have bloated up...hehehe...ya that's extreme but my body feels uncomfortable and sluggish when I do not take my walks. It is my daily energy dose. During covid times when there was lockdown and we were unable to step out, in those days I would take walks in my corridor. Thankfully it's a long corridor with 100 steps one way so taking one full round is 200 steps. I would take 20 rounds and that was my high energy pill in those days, especially when body movement was restricted so much.
Do you walk Every day? What is your Energy Pill?
