La la la la la lovely Linda…

Linda McCartney’s ( Eastman) father practiced entertainment law in New York and counted among his famous clients Harold Arlen, Tommy Dorsey, Willem de Kooning, Jack Lawrence, and Mark Rothko. At Eastman's request, Lawrence wrote the song "Linda" when she was four years old. It was recorded by Buddy Clark in 1947 and went to No. 1 on the charts, and was recorded again in 1963 by duo Jan and Dean.

If I was a vegetarian, I'd think it some linguistic psyop to sell me something called "chicken" nuggets - same as veggie "sausages" and "burgers".
What's the point in hiding what they are?
Do vegetarians secretly wish they could dive into a juicy steak?
If not, why promote such carnivorous names?
Genuine question - has always puzzled me.

Psyops ? Cyclops ? I think the term “nugget” comes from gold nugget. Clever marketing.

I just realized my little profile avatar looks a lot like a Cyclops.

Yes. I love the taste of a juicy steak and chicken. I am a carnivore. But I try to become a vegetarian every few years and always fail.

I’d buy these if they were called Linda McCartney’s Crispy Tofu nuggets.

Or anything by Linda McCartney

If they and all plant foods were so named according to what they are made of, would you even be interested in trying them? and how would you know exactly what flavour you were getting? You never know until you try, right? And just like all products, there are going to be products you like and products you don't.

I will try them all. I really like the Beyond Burgers burgers. I will try these “nuggets” next. If they taste good I eat them. I especially like Crispy Vietnamese Tofu.

Nobody has ever said that we don't like the "taste", or "flavour". If you didn't marinate, season, coat and slather regular dead animal meats with spices and sauces, they would have very little taste and flavour too. Plant based foods are so named according to the taste and flavour, so we know what flavour or taste we will be eating. And no.., like myself, I have yet to meet a fellow vegetarian/vegan who is secretly pining for dead animal steak or chicken. In fact the exact opposite is true. The very thought has become absurd and morbid to us. The idea that I might even get it accidentally in my food is enough to cause me to lose my appetite. So plant foods are only so named in order to know the flavour because it is not the "taste" that we don't like about dead animal foods, it is everything else that is wrong with it, that we don't like. For People, The Planet and Animals. Hope this answers your questions. 👍

You’re welcome.

Can I add plum sauce for dipping and maybe some ketchup for those fries? I'm pretty sure that's vegan too

Absolutely.
