vegan Wiener schnitzel

Is there another word for "Wiener Schnitzel" in english? I don't think so.
I felt like creating something unusual and special, and because vegans have to pay attention to get enough proteins, vitamins and minerals, I decided to make an Austrian traditional meal. I love to eat international anyway.

ingredients

  • approx. 200 g soft lenses
  • approx. 150 g about 2 carrots
  • some tomato paste
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • oil for frying
  • optionally 1 lemon in slices

Preparation

Cook and drain the soft lentils, then puree them with a blender. Peel and slice the carrots, if you like you can also boil them to puree the carrots better. Mix all ingredients into the pureed lentils and carrots.

Heat the oil in a fry the lentils schnitzel in the pan. Fry both sides until they are golden brown. Serve traditionally with a slice of lemon and potato salad or other side variations. I had no lemons and chose my turmeric curry sauce and I don't like potato salad so I made oven potatoes.

Existe outra palavra para "Wiener Schnitzel" em inglês? Não me parece.

Apeteceu-me criar algo invulgar e especial, e como os veganos têm de prestar atenção para obter proteínas, vitaminas e minerais suficientes, decidi fazer uma refeição tradicional austríaca. De qualquer forma, adoro comer internacionalmente.

ingredientes

  • aprox. 200 g de lentes macias
  • aproximadamente 150 g cerca de 2 cenouras
  • alguma pasta de tomate
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 colher de chá de sal
  • 2 colheres de chá de pimenta
  • óleo para fritar
  • opcionalmente 1 limão em fatias

Preparação

Cozinhe e escorra as lentilhas macias, depois faça um puré com um liquidificador. Descasque e corte as cenouras em fatias, se quiser pode também cozê-las para fazer um puré de cenoura melhor. Misture todos os ingredientes no puré de lentilhas e cenouras.

Aqueça o óleo numa frigideira com as lentilhas schnitzel. Frite os dois lados até ficarem dourados. Servir tradicionalmente com uma fatia de salada de limão e batata ou outras variações laterais. Eu não tinha limões e escolhi o meu molho de curry de curcuma e não gosto de salada de batata, por isso fiz batatas no forno.

veganes Wiener Schnitzel

Ich hatte mal Lust wieder was ausgefallenes zu kreieren und da man als Veganer auch auf die Protein Aufnahme und Vitamine und Mineralien zu achten hat, entschied ich mich für ein Österreichisches Gericht. Ich liebe es eh international zu essen.

Zutaten

  • ca. 200 g weiche Linsen
  • ca. 150 g etwa 2 Karotten
  • etwas Tomatenmark
  • Semmelbrösel
  • 1 TL Salz
  • 2 TL Pfeffer
  • Öl zum Anbraten
  • wahlweise 1 Zitrone in Scheiben

Zubereitung

Die weichen Linsen abtropfen lassen, anschließend mit dem Mixer pürieren. Karotten schälen und schneiden, wer mag kann diese auch kochen, um die Karotten besser zu pürieren. Alle restlichen Zutaten unter die pürierten Linsen und Karotten mischen.
Öl in einer Pfanne erhitzen und die Linsen als Schnitzel in der Pfanne flach drücken. Beide Seiten goldbraun anbraten. Traditionell mit je einer Scheibe Zitrone und Kartoffelsalat oder anderen Beilagen servieren. Ich hatte keine Zitrone und wählte meine Kurkuma Curry Sauce und da ich Kartoffelsalat nicht so cool finde habe ich mir Ofen Kartoffeln gemacht.
