How to avoid the Hallmark Holiday

Attention:: To ALL MEN who want to avoid this upcoming Hallmark holiday. You need to let your woman know you don't believe in Valentines Day, that's it's an old tradition and a part of the patriarchy, meant to HOLD women down.

You don't need to fall in line with the social construct or status quo! Instead, you make them a really nice meal at home, or take them somewhere really fancy this weekend and NOT on the 14th of February. Give them a card, but not some store bought corporate capitalistic cringe card with a logo, no! Instead, you make them a card.

Make the card from scratch and put all your real feelings into it. Think back to when you two first met, all the struggles, emotional ups and downs, the good times and how you will NEVER take them for granted, even though at times you did.

Next, you get them chocolate, not some Hollywood shaped heart box they sell in the Holiday section of your local grocery store, eff that, no, instead you order Ethel M Chocolates straight from the 3-acre Cactus Garden located in the heart of Nevada. The REAL stuff!

Don't buy flowers!! Screw the system! No one needs to feed these greedy corporate ideologues, you pick your own flowers! That's right, you find WILD flowers, to give your WILD woman, and you let her know that you put in the work because you love her the most.

And that is how you get around celebrating this Hallmark Holiday!
