Cabezas, a freewrite

I am on Blurt for the freedom of expression that is not rewarded on Hive. I am here to be with people who are actually using their brains to interpret the world around them. For the most part, I have restricted my content on Blurt to certain issues that I find to be extremely important for the continuing existence of mankind, especially my own.

Here is a freewrite that I posted on that other chain yesterday, that is being ignored by my usual curators in that space, not because it isn't my usual quality, but because, I believe, of its content. The curators are afraid to reward it. I could be wrong, perhaps they simply do not find value in this freewrite, but there has been a pattern in low rewards for posts of mine that have talk of this topic.

This is a true freewrite; it began and ended with my having no idea what story I was to tell.

It was much more than a bit bewildering, to be honest. You said it would be a bit bewildering, but it pulled the rug out from under me. There I was, sitting on the bare floor, and in comes this guy in a white coat - did I ever tell you I have white coat syndrome - and my blood pressure went so high even I could feel it. I started to vomit up word salad, the thread of my story was lost. I started to breathe heavily, and he said

Take it easy bronco, you're turning purple.

He called in the troops. My bed was surrounded by people with needles, and bags, and contraptions, and white coats and lots of words that were all word salad. too.

I screamed

GET ME OUT OF HERE

I wanna go home.

They said

we do not advise it

I said

I will not comply

They said

but you could be contaminated, ya never know, so you cannot go until you have been tested and vaccinated for every disease known to man.

This, apparently, is the end of my sad sad story. Now for the truth.

I am bewildered, and not just a tiny bit. The world seems to have gone into a surreal state, where what I thought was true is nothing more than fairy tale. Did we ever live in the land of the free and the brave, or has the world always been governed by puppets and ruled by

TIME'S UP! Just when I was about to discover who our true rulers are. Maybe next time.

This is my entry to @mariannewest's daily freewrite challenge. Today's prompt is a bit bewildering.

I used the egg timer which I found a whole lot easier than finding my phone and powering it up just to set a timer. I like what came out in that five minutes, or I would not have published it (I throw a LOT of freewrites into the crapper so I don't waste your time). This time, I started out seeing a story and letting it tell itself, until it got personal to me. I started thinking, and the story gave up telling itself so I had to take over. I swear the timer went off just before I could type the answer to the riddle. Your guess is as good as mine.
