Let's gain some knowledge about Surah Al-Baqarah verses 102/103.

Surah Al-Baqarah is the second chapter of the Quran, consisting of 286 verses. The verse you mentioned, Surah Al-Baqarah, 102, addresses a specific incident related to the story of Prophet Solomon (Sulaiman) and the practice of magic during his time.

Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 102, is as follows:

"And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, 'We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic].' And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves if they only knew."

In this verse, it is mentioned that some people during the time of Prophet Solomon followed the teachings of the devils instead of true guidance.
These devils taught people magic, which was forbidden and against the teachings of Allah.
The verse specifically refers to two angels named Harut and Marut, who were sent as a test to the people of Babylon.
These angels were given knowledge about magic but warned people not to indulge in it.

The purpose of this test was to differentiate between those who would follow Allah's guidance and those who would be tempted by magic and disbelief. The angels made it clear that they were a trial, and people should not disbelieve by practicing magic.

However, despite the warning, people learned magic from the angels and used it to cause separation between couples, harming their relationships.
It is emphasized that the harm caused by magic can only occur with the permission of Allah, as He is the ultimate authority over all things.
The verse also highlights that the people who engaged in magic knew that it was a sinful act, and they were well aware that it would not benefit them in the Hereafter.

Overall, this verse serves as a reminder to avoid indulging in forbidden practices, such as magic, and to place faith in Allah's guidance rather than following the misguided ways of the devils.
It also emphasizes the importance of knowledge and understanding the consequences of one's actions.

Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 103, is as follows:

"And if they had believed and feared Allah, then the reward from Allah would have been [far] better if they only knew."

This verse is a reference to the Children of Israel and their behavior during the time of Prophet Moses (Musa).
It highlights the importance of true faith and piety in earning rewards and blessings from Allah.

In the context of the verse, the Children of Israel had been given numerous signs and miracles by Allah, and they were commanded to have faith in Him and follow the guidance of their prophets.
However, despite witnessing these miracles and signs, some of them still disobeyed and rejected the message.
They failed to recognize the significance of their actions and the rewards that awaited them if they had believed and feared Allah.

The verse emphasizes that if the Children of Israel had truly believed in Allah and feared His judgment, they would have received far greater rewards from Him.
Their lack of understanding prevented them from realizing the immense blessings and benefits that faith and piety bring.

The verse also holds a broader lesson for all believers. It encourages individuals to have sincere faith in Allah, as well as a profound reverence and fear of Him.
This implies acknowledging His presence, His commandments, and the consequences of one's actions.
By doing so, believers can earn abundant rewards from Allah, both in this life and the hereafter.

In summary, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 103 highlights the importance of true faith and piety. It reminds us that if we believe in Allah and fear His judgment, the rewards we receive from Him will be far better than we can imagine.
