Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the American people for their support as he met with US President Joe Biden at the White House.
In his first foreign trip since the war began, Zelensky will hold a news conference with Biden and address a joint meeting of Congress at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Biden told Zelensky the US will ship the Patriot air defense missile system to Ukraine, which US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced earlier Wednesday will be included in an additional $1.85 billion security package for Kyiv.
