Contrast to Boris Johnson's win in 2019 when he got 43.6% on a turnout of 67.52% in 2019. 13,966,454 votes.
At the start of the election campaign, Keir Starmer's Labour was on 46% in opinion polls and there was some talk about how that would give them a "mandate" to go beyond what was in their manifesto. But getting just 33.7% puts a kibosh on that.
