Tweets are known as short messages posted by users of the popular microblogging site Twitter.

Chinese, Japanese, and Korean that use wide characters (such as Chinese characters) are limited to 140 characters in length. For other languages, tweets are allowed to be up to 280 characters long.

Tweets usually contain a brief status of what the user is currently doing or working on at a time.

For example,
"Dinner out with friends."
"I must be working late tonight."

However, tweets can also contain serious content, including long or very long message. In that case, the tweet can be split into many short tweets that are serialized.

Followers of the user can comment, comment on each other, and retweet the messages to their respective followers.

What about the Blurt platform? Our Blurt platform provides all (or nearly all) of the functionality used by microblogging sites such as Twitter.

We can tweet in 140 characters, 280 characters or more, and in any language. Longer tweets can be posted immediately (as blog) and do not need to be broken up.

We can follow each other, comment on each other, upvote each other, and reblurt each other. We can do everything, no problem.

Thus, technically, the Blurt platform supports blogging and microblogging capabilities. The question now is how we as a Blurt community can agree on this.

Do we want to focus only on the blogging feature? Or do we want to try the microblogging feature as well?

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.
