Some good points were made here, but a clarification: Most Israeli Jews today speak Yiddish, not Hebrew. Yiddish is a branch of German, and is not a Semitic language.
Another important distinction is Zionist. Not all Jews are Zionists, and not all Zionists are Jews.
Here in Canada we can go to prison for criticizing certain belief systems or ethnicities, labeling it "hate". And now, our government can look back in time and charge you for anything "hateful" you said in the past. Trudeau pledged allegiance to Israel on day 1 (literally) of his term back in 2015.
