Manjarin, a mountain village in Spain, is inhabited, but is a historical place where the ruins of medieval stone houses still remain. On one side of the road, the flags of all nations were flying, and when passing through this place that year ago, I found that the Korean flag was worn out and faded. So the following year, I prepared a national flag(Taegeukgi) and took it with me. And I put the national flag on it.
에스파냐의 산정마을 만하린은 사람은 살지 않지만 중세시대의 건물터가 아직도 군데군데 남아있는 역사적인 곳입니다. 길 한편에는 만국기가 휘날리고 있었는데, 그 해 전에 이곳을 통과할 때 태극기가 낡아 퇴색된 것을 발견했었습니다. 그래서 그 다음 해에는 아예 태극기를 한 장 준비해 갖고 갔습니다. 그리고 태극기를 달아놓았죠.
Since then, many pilgrims must have seen the white and clean Korean national flag(Taegeukgi) as they passed this place. By now, the Taegeukgi is probably worn out, right? Had it not been for the coronavirus outbreak, other pilgrims would have replaced it with a new Taegeukgi as they passed by. Camino de Santiago~! I would like to walk there once again.
그 뒤로 많은 순례자들이 이곳을 지나치며 하얗고 깨끗한 태극기를 봤을 것입니다. 지금쯤 아마 태극기가 낡아서 닳아 없어졌겠죠? 코로나 바이러스만 발생하지 않았더라면, 다른 순례자가 이곳을 지나가면서 새로운 태극기로 교체해 놨을 텐데 아쉽습니다. 까미노 데 산티아고 그곳을 다시 한 번 걷고 싶습니다.
