I spent the winter solstice in Glastonbury. Since I was just calling in on my way to see my family I was just there for a night on my own so wanted to attend an event rather than sit int he hotel room all night watching YouTube. They hve a great site there with all the events going on and there were aboht 3 main options for solstice. Originally I had planned to go to one but last minute felt intuitively to go to the star room but when I got there it was locked and no one picked up the phone. I still have no idea what happened there as I was a little early but all the gates were locked to the main courtyard, thinking I would just hBe to go back, I saw people milling around in the next building as I was leaving and turns out they were having a community gathering at the assembly rooms. I decided to go along as maybe it was fate that was the one I was meant to attend all along. I always believe that we are guided to be where we are meant to be.
I had a lovely chai tea before going in and there were lots of local talent acts a bit like Britain’s got talent lol but no scoring. There were Shamanic drums, singers, poets and the favourite of the night was the Glastonbury choir they really did a great job of getting everyone involved and it was a lot of fun. I really wish I had recorded it but the volume on my phone is a bit screwed and I need a new phone but it wasn’t boring at all it was super unique and fun version of choir singing, with lots of spiritual songs thrown in.
Then back to the hotel for a nights sleep, I had a great room with a huge bed I could starfish on 💪🏻 M
