When we were in Oxford we went along to even song at the stunning Christ Church Cathedral. It’s on 18:00-19:00pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and allows you free access to the cathedral. I’ve actually been in this church before to shoot a wedding as if you attended Oxford university there you had the chance to get married there in this church.
The Cathedral stands on the site of an ancient Saxon Church, founded in the 8th century by Saint Frideswide, the Patron Saint of Oxford. The current building was constructed in the 12th century as a monastery church, which pilgrims visited throughout the Middle Ages . The church became part of the university in 1524.
The even song is a gorgeous hour of choir and is the perfect way to end a day in Oxford and get warmed up!
I guess that no one immediately after its construction saw it at night time until modern people gave the Cathedral highlights, it stands out!
