For a moment I am going to put aside the publication of recipes, traditional content of my blog, to share with the whole community photos and impressions of my childhood in European lands.
I explain the reason: last Sunday in my country Father's Day was celebrated. We met as a family and among the topics of conversation arose the memories of how we celebrated Father's Day in Europe, despite the fact that there are different dates, they do not coincide with ours.
All this gave rise to a lot of memories, to take the albums out of the place where most of the world is stored (at that time we had a reflex camera, at the beginning, a fantastic Olympus). Later we went to a digital camera of the same brand, due to how much they are going to observe a different resolution in the photos.
But quality more, quality less, what counts are the memories.
We lived in the Italian Ligurian Riviera and did a 7-day tour to travel the entire coast of the island of Corsica, from North to South.
This is the first post dedicated to that incredible adventure.

Por un momento voy a dejar de lado la publicación de las recetas, contenido tradicional de mi blog, para compartir con toda la comunidad fotos e impresiones de mi niñez en tierras europeas.
Les explico el motivo: el domingo pasado en mi país se festejó el Dia del Padre. Nos reunimos en familia y entre los temas de conversación surgieron los recuerdos de cómo festejábamos el Dia del Padre en Europa, a pesar de que allá las fechas on distntas, no coinciden con las nuestras.
Todo eso dio lugar a un montón de recuerdos, a sacar los álbums del lugar donde están guardados la mayor parte del mundo (en ese momento teníamos una cámara fotográfica reflex, al inicio, una fantástica Olympus). Más tarde pasamos a una cámara digital de la misma marca, por lu cuán van a observar en las fotos una resolución distinta.
Pero calidad más, calidad menos, lo que cuentan son los recuerdos.
Vivíamos en la Riviera Ligure italiana e hicimos un tour de 7 días para recorrer toda la costa de la isla de Córcega, de Norte a Sur.
Este es el primer post dedicado a esa inscreíble aventura.

Towards the end of 2015, when I was living in Italy, I traveled from Genova by ship to discover the rugged nature of the Corsican island.
Its location exactly in the center of the Mediterranean Sea makes it easily accessible by ship from any French, Spanish or Italian port.

I stayed a few days in Saint Florent, a small, heavenly place. Old and classic fishing village transformed into a tourist destination not too popular.
I started in this small town because it was one of the direct connections via sea that I had from Genova, Italy.
Just arrived and the first welcome message is from a marine crane.
We feed him and he continues his tour strolling leisurely along the rest of the pier.
They don't go hungry. Next to modern boats and yachts dedicated to VIP fun are the humble fishing boats that, even today, go out every day to pick up sea fishing.
And they sell it fresh on the dock as soon as they dock mid-morning.
Nos quedamos unos días en Saint Florent, un lugar pequeño y paradisíaco. Antiguo y clásico pueblo de pescadores transformado en un destino turístico no demasiado popular.
Empezamos en este pequeño pueblo porque era una de las conexiones directas por mar que teníamos desde Génova, Italia.

One of the true historical monuments of Saint-Florent that catches our attention is the fortress called the Citadel.
Built when the island was under Genoese rule it was a bastion designed to protect the coast and the interior of the town from possible enemy attacks.
From the Citadel it is possible to observe the gulf and the coast in all their charm in a panoramic and spectacular view.
Recién llegados y el primer mensaje de bienvenida es de una grulla marina.
Lo alimentamos y continúa su recorrido paseando tranquilamente por el resto del muelle.
No pasan hambre. Junto a los modernos barcos y yates dedicados a la diversión VIP se encuentran los humildes barcos de pesca que, aún hoy, salen todos los días a recoger la pesca en el mar.
Y lo venden fresco en el muelle tan pronto como atracan a media mañana.
Uno de los verdaderos monumentos históricos de Saint-Florent que nos llama la atención es la fortaleza llamada Ciudadela.
Construida cuando la isla estaba bajo el dominio genovés, fue un bastión diseñado para proteger la costa y el interior de la ciudad de posibles ataques enemigos.
Desde la Ciudadela es posible observar el golfo y la costa en todo su encanto en una vista panorámica y espectacular.
