Hi Blurtians! We are travelling right now going to Isabel, Leyte. Actually, there are many routes that you can choose from going to this place. There is route from Cebu to Ormoc City, Cebu to Palompon, Danao City to Isabel, among others.
Being frugal and practical, we took the cheapest fare and that is travelling by the Danao to Isabel route. We took the non-aircon bus from our place to drydock Danao and the fare is 36 pesos. Then from the highway going to the pier area by motorcycle and the fare is 30 pesos. The boat itself is 400 pesos (non-aircon) and the terminal fee is 20 pesos. The total for one person is around 486 pesos.
The boat that we took carries cargoes also. Actually it allows any type of vehicles.
There is a lot of vehicles lining up in the pier area ready to be boarded. It carries a good number of vehicles. You just need to call for reservation if you want to bring your car with you. For a sedan type, it is 3200 pesos. I think the bigger your car is the bigger the fare also.
There are also other options if you want. You can try some fastcraft that travels from Cebu to Ormoc City/ Palompon or just the regular boat.
If you travel the other route, let say Cebu to Ormoc City, the fare for the fastcraft is 1100 pesos and the bus fare is around 100 pesos. But it is airconditioned and the travel time in the sea is 2.5 hours and from Ormoc to Isabel is about an hour also. It is a bit shorter compared to the one we took which is 4 hrs. This could be another option also.
For me, what is the most important is that you travel safely and you arrive at the destination safe and sound. ♥️
