Day Three at Ella | On the Way to Lipton Seat

After a comfortable sleep, we walk up in the freezing cold. Mornings in Ella are slightly colder than our regular mornings, so waking up was lazy. But we are so delighted about the next big day ahead.

Around 8 am we grabbed our breakfast at the restaurant and packed to visit our next destination Lipton Seat.

First, we followed Google map to reach Lipton Seat but found out that we could not go further by car. It was a long way to go and we could buy a three-wheel for 4500LKR to rest of the distance which we didn't. Instead of, we asked for a different way from the residence where could enter Lipton Seat from Haputhale.

So we headed to Haputhale, even though it had some distance to go.

We passed several miles to reach Haputhale town which was situated on top of all like in the sky. I had never been to Haputhale before and I was impressed a lot. It's like we drive through clouds.

I must say we had a long way to reach Lipton Seat along a spiral road across Dambathenna Estate. We stopped by multiple viewpoints to enjoy the beautiful view of the lands below. Actually, we were going further up. Our target destination was Dambathenna Tea Factory and from there to Lipton Seat.

As the roads were narrow we had to pay attention to the vehicles that coming from the other side.

I have no words to explain the beauty of the area. There was like 10km from Haputhale town to Dambathenna Tea Factory but nothing was boring on the way.

After a travel of few minutes we reached near the Dambethanna Tea Factory. From there we had to decide how we travel to Lipton Seat, by car or by a tuk tuk.
