Travel Diaries - #Throwback - Some Wonderful Memories of my London Holiday

in travel •  3 years ago

London, needless to say, is one of the most luring cities of the world. The London life I find is very similar to life in Mumbai city, fast paced and always busy. Like they say, Mumbai never sleeps, just like that I believe that London also never sleeps.

This was a trip made 5 years ago to visit my best friend who is now married and settled there. We keep taking turns to visit each other every 2 years. After this she travelled to India to meet me and then last year was my turn to go, but the Covid chaos messed it all up. In Dec we plan to meet up again, hopefully if travel eases out, either one will do the travelling this time, based on the best options and convenience so finger crossed, as it is I have been missing her a lot, it's now 3 years that I have met her and my heart is longing desperately.

Coming back to the London trip, I had 2 weeks stay and my hubby and son had also come along. Most of the places we have visited in our previous holidays, but then sometimes you never get enough and you want to keep experiencing it again and again. Such are places like London, Paris, Interlaken, Mykonos........ you just want to keep going back to them again and again and do the same things.

A must watch if you visit London. The Guard Mounting ceremony that takes place outside the Buckingham palace is a must watch. Makes you feel and experience the royalty of the place.

The boat ride at the Thames, not to be missed to get the spectacular views around.

A walk on the London Bridge is also something to be added in the itinerary. I have never seen the open bridge till date, maybe someday I will get to see that too.

We visited Buckingham Palace on this visit, since previously we had always been missing it. Royal and Magnificent is all I can say.

That's the Company I used to work with in India, I was so excited to see the office here.

Me and my friend spent some time at the park outside Westminster Abbey

This place has always been my favorite, Covent Gardens. There is so much to do over here, and these artists are fabulous. I really wonder how they do it.

Both of our families spent some quality time together.

Some of our Cousins also live here, so one day we spent with them at Herne Bay, it was away from the city, a long drive by the coast line. Perfect spot for a day outing.

How can one not visit the Tussaud's Museum when in London?

2 weeks is never enough for this city, there is so much to do and see here. The outskirts of London also have many places to visit, The Palaces, Museums, Attractions.....as I said it's a glamorous and a luring city, and when you have good company to spend time with in the City, all the more it becomes fun.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
