How do you feel when you witness something which is much beyond your imagination and can leave you so much in awe. I am going to take you through some of the megastructures that I have visited till date in my next few blogs.

The first post that I will like to share today is on the megastructure of the Adiyogi Shiva Statue which is built in one of the small city of India, Coimbatore. A couple of years back I visited this city to be at the Isha Yoga Centre of Sadhguru. This Statue is also designed by Sadhguru himself. Sadhguru does not need any introduction, he is one of the most famous Spiritual Guru of our times and also a internationally renowned speaker. The Isha Center is also his brainchild. It is one of the best Spiritual retreats that I have visited till date. The first time when I visited the Ashram I was very overwhelmed, everything felt so magical in that place.

The first look of the Statue truly left me mesmerized, I wanted to contain it all within myself. The Rudraksh mala around the neck is another one marvel to look at. It is made of 1,00,008 Rudraksha beads. A Rudraksha bead is considered to be a protection shield for the wearer and harmonizing the overall environment.

Some Facts about the Structure
The statue of Adiyogi Shiva is recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records as the "Largest Busted Sculpture".

The Adiyogi statue is a 34-metre-tall (112 ft), 45-metre-long (147 ft) and 25-metre-wide (82 ft) steel statue of Shiva. It weighs around 500 tons (490 long tons; 550 short tons).

Adiyogi Shiva was the first Yogi that the scriptures identify. This statue is 112 ft and it has a deep significance. Our body has in all 112 major and minor chakras and they have significance in Yoga when we work towards optimal health and healing. Also in Yoga it is mentioned about ways to find moksha (liberation) and it is identified that there are 112 paths for a human soul to be liberated.

Every year on the occasion of Mahashivratri there are night long ceremonies and celebrations that take place which is initiated by Sadhguru himself. I have never been able to visit during this time, but it is my desire to once attend this festival. The festival is celebrated in the honor of Lord Shiva. It is truly a sight to see. It gets telecasted live on various Isha centre Social Media pages, so even if one cannot visit, one can still be a part of it.
