This is one Temple that will leave us in awe. The Wat Pho temple in Bangkok, which is famous for the Reclining Buddha Idol. After the Adiyogi Shiva statue in Coimbatore India, this is another one larger than life God Idol statue that I have seen. I do not know if there are other such statues also around the world.
If you visit Bangkok, this is a must visit place, if you do not come here then it is as good as you have not been to Bangkok. On one hand Bangkok is known for it's extravagant night life and on the other hand it is also very well known for all the Buddha Temples. They are all very beautiful. The Wat Pho temple is beautifully decorated, and the outside place is also very well maintained with water fountains and sitting area. Ideally it is a half day trip to this place.
This Sleeping Buddha status is 46 meters long. It is a beautiful creation and a masterpiece. You can check out more details of it on the wikipage

The other fascinating part of this status are the feet. The feet of the Buddha are 3 m high and 4.5 m long and they are inlaid with mother of pearls.

It is such a magnificent place. But the one thing is that more than a Temple it is a tourist attraction and I did not feel that Temple energy in this space. But nevertheless it is my personal thing.
