Spending an Evening in Navigli

Navigli is a long street by the Canal side in Milan and also one of the most happening places in Milan. Here you find nightlife by the street side where you can do some shopping and then chill out at the open cafes by the canal. Our hotel guy had suggested us to visit the place and glad that we did listen to him. It was a vibrant buzzing place and felt like the whole of Milan was here. The locals also call it the city's best district for wine and dine. The canal is not very attractive that I can say but the overall place has some charm to keep people coming over. If I would be living in this place, I would not be very fascinated to come here regularly, but as a tourist it is good to visit once just to get the vibe of the place. From our hotel it was a long drive to reach here.

You can see the place is full of people. One side of the street is more crowded than the other, because there are more cafes on one side of the canal. The other side of the canal which is comparatively empty, on that side there is a Cathedral and some cafes.

Later we were hunting for a cafe where each one of our pallets could be satisfied. I am a little conservative when it comes to food and not much in favor of trying out dishes that does not sound appealing to me. I am a fussy eater, not exactly fussy, but I like clean food and I eat more with my eyes, so if something does not look good to my eyes I would not want to try it out.
I ordered a Cheese Risotto and their boys had their own things which did not appeal me much :) The drink Aperol Spritz is very famous everywhere in Italy, so we also would end up having that most of the time along with our food.

As it gets dark the place looks colorful with the lights

The place is colorful and bursting of energy. If you visit Milan, you must visit Navigli. It was a nice evening spent at this place.
