I Enjoy Solo Travelling

Do you enjoy Solo Travelling?
Well, I do love Solo travelling and I have made it a point to do some Solo travels every now and then. People do ask me, what do I do during my solo travels. Don't I need some company and someone to talk to. In the first place, I am a person who enjoys my own company, so you can understand in that case I will also enjoy like being alone to myself.

Many years back when I did my first solo travel for work matters, I was very scared and nervous. But by the end of the trip, I realized that I enjoyed it a lot and I wanted to do more of it. I felt so much freedom just being myself, go where I wished to and I had no one's else wish to fulfill. I was meeting new people, going to the innermost areas of the places, budgeting my holiday just the way I would want, all of this was giving me a good feeling. Waking up at my own time and coming back at my own time is all a good feeling.

It's not that I do not enjoy my holidays with other people tagging along but somewhere I feel restricted and not doing what I love to at the full capacity. Like going on a holiday with my hubby and son, it's the best thing for me, but I get annoyed when my Son does not wake up early and move out early from the hotel, or that my hubby likes to go in a more relaxed manner. I am the opposite of both, I like to make an early start and I want to spend my whole day out exploring and then end of the day also explore the night life of the place, no matter however tired I am.

But at the same time, travelling alone has its own challenges. Safety and security being the most important one. Being a solo traveler, someone can take easy advantage. When you have someone along there is some sense of security and comfort. The other thing is clicking pictures, you always have to keep asking someone to click your pictures...hahahaha....I am used to it by now. I have been doing it all the while. I look around and try to get hold of someone who would be willing to click multiple pictures.

If I have to weigh the pros and cons, I still feel myself in a more comfortable position on my solo travels. I plan to do one solo trip in 2023 probably to the Amazon. It has always been on my mind.
