Lausanne is a city in Switzerland on Lake Geneva. It is a famous place since it's a home to the International Olympic Committee headquarters. There is also an Olympic Museum here and by the lake side the Olympic Park. 2 days is good enough for this place. I only had a day to spend here in which I visited the Cathedral and then spent my time by the Lake side. Olympic Museum I had visited in my previous trip so during this one I opted out from that. It's a very nice museum and if you visit this city, you must watch it. Besides the Olympic part this place is also renowned for the beautiful gothic art monuments, the Cathedral and the splendid views of the town from a hill top where the Cathedral stands.
Today sharing some pictures of this short visit to Lausanne.
You can get the glimpse of Lake Geneva also from the top
Way up to the Cathedral
In the passing
For almost half a day we walked around the city, then visited the Cathedral and from there we went to the Lake, where we spent some time and then headed to Cully our next destination.
I would like to drive around these places, but hubby is not comfortable driving in a foreign land. Nevertheless, these train rides are also very adventurous. Taxi is something out of question as they are too expensive.
