Here I am, ready to tell you about the incredible Trinidad in Cuba, especially during the Cachancharazo festivities. More specifically at night.

I have been for many times to Trinidad, and I love it. But I had never been at night, as I stayed at a friend's house who lives just outside. When the sun sets in the sky, the city comes alive in a way that is hard to explain. And it's not just the festivities, but it is a very active city at night, and very beautiful.

The nights in Trinidad are a continuous spectacle. The simplicity of the buildings, most of them more than three centuries old and the non-existence of modern buildings and constructions, give it a unique atmosphere. The Plaza Mayor becomes the epicenter of everything. From there, the sunset views are simply beautiful. I was lucky enough to be present during that precise moment when the sun says goodbye, a breathtaking moment. The atmosphere is different from other places I have visited, which is why it keeps me captivated.

The church of La Santísima Trinidad on one side of the Plaza is illuminated in an exceptional way at night. The majesty of its colonial architecture stands out even more under the light of the star that illuminates its top; which I could not take a good picture since it was with the camera of my phone. Walking through the cobblestone streets becomes a real pleasure. The lights of the street lamps create a magical atmosphere, neither too bright nor too dark.

But what really makes Trinidad special at night are its bars and the staircase. It's as if the whole city is designed for you to enjoy the night to the fullest. The local bars offer a variety of local drinks that you must try. From a refreshing mojito, the famous Cuban rum or the Canchanchara, a Cuban cocktail made of rum, honey and lemon. The diversity of options is impressive.

The staircase, with its unique charm, invites you to go up and enjoy the fascinating views of the city. On this occasion in front of the staircase there was a stage created for the artists.

During the Cachancharazo festivities, the city reaches its peak. People take to the streets with joy, creating a festive atmosphere that is contagious. The music does not stop for a whole weekend during these festivities.

Trinidad at night during the Cachancharazo festivities is something we should all experience, this was my first time. The combination of colonial architecture and breathtaking views make this city a truly magical place. So, if you ever get the chance, go, life is only one and pleasant moments like these should be seized.
