This is taken on my travel in Aurora Zamboanga del Sur last summer, and I would like to share it with you guys as I always appreciate history and culture and the best way on how to understand the dynamics of this place to no other than visit their local museum where we can read the history of how they have come to name the place- what's fascinating is that the place was found by adventurous Cebuanos who went to Mindanao and inhabited the place.
These are some of the museums artifacts that I have seen on my visits, they have some earthen jars, tools made of stones, old type writers, magazines, old discs (plaka in Bisaya) for the old time music, books and some notes depicting the history of the place. Actually the now Museum is the old Municipal Office of the place - I believe so as it is just in front of the new Municipal office of Aurora. People around is friendly which adds up to the welcoming aura of Aurora. It is indeed a good day where we can emersed ourselves in culture old and new and knowledge to keep when we leave the place.
I hope I can bring my family back to Aurora so the can as well experience the things I have experienced on this tour.
