I'm staying a little longer in Lisbon, the beautiful capital of Portugal and my favorite city. This time we're going to ride Tram 28.
This tram is one of Lisbon's most popular tourist attractions. Tram 28 is a very simple story: it is a regular tram that runs every day on line 28. This line started operating way back in 1914 and is still running today.
Tram 28 passes through some of Lisbon's most beautiful neighborhoods: Alfama, Bairro Alto and Chiado. Line operate with restored trams that were produced in the 1930s. Everything is authentic, from the steering controls and mechanisms, to the wooden interior, to the brass clocks and the original shade of yellow that the trams were painted with.
The experience of slipping through Lisbon's narrow streets in one of these trams is unforgettable. My advice is to definitely take some time to ride Tram 28 and enjoy beautiful Lisbon in an unusual and original way.
