Along the coast of Nice on the French Riviera, nestles a hill named Castle Hill. It divides Nice into the Old town part and the picturesque harbor. On the hill, in addition to the remains of former fortifications, there is also a beautiful park filled with greenery, paths and numerous viewpoints. There is also an artificial waterfall that is so well integrated into the park that I was quite surprised to learn that it is artificial. There are countless trails, a view of the old town on one side, the slopes of the Alps on the other and the harbor filled with yachts on the third.
With a bottle of wine, cheeses and prosciutto I picked up in the old town, this was the perfect place to end the day enjoying stories about Nice while watching the sunset.
